5 DAYS TOUR FEZ TO SAHARA DESERT ENDING IN MARRAKECH

Day 1: Fez- Middle Atlas – Ifran – Azrou- Midelt:

Your 5 days tour will start by exploring the green Middle Atlas Mountains and visiting Ifran or Switzerland of Morocco . Afterwards we will continue our drive to Midelt via the forest of the cedar trees where you will have chance to feed the Barbary monkeys in their natural habitat. Then we keep driving towards Midelt, the city that is located between the two ranges of the Atlas mountains and famous for its farms of apples. Overnight will be in a hotel in Midelt.

Day 2: Midelt – Ziz valley – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga ( Desert camp) :

The road to desert will begin by a stop to take photos for the beautiful Ziz valley of palm trees enclosed between the high Atlas Mountains. We continue to Merzouga via the dramatic stony desert and the palmeries of Erfoud (capital of the fossils) and Rissani known for its largest market in the south. In the afternoon we arrive to Merzouga desert where you get ready and accompanied by a camel guide to go for an authentic camel trek experience of around 90 minutes where you can catch the sunset in the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend a memorable night with millions of shiny stars, enjoy a Berber dinner, drum party and sleep in a traditional nomadic tent.

Day 3: Exploring the regions of the Sahara – Merzouga:

After you wake up early to watch the sunrise, you will ride your camels back to your hotel for taking a shower and eat breakfast. Afterwards we take our 4×4 to drive around the mystic Erg Chebbi dunes and stop for tea with a nomadic desert family and get to know their way of living. Then continue to visit Khamlia a small village inhabited by black people to listen to their traditional Gnawa music, then an other visit Rissani to bustle and bargain in its traditional Souk, visit some of the Kasbah and Ksour in the Area and have lunch with our family and friends. Free afternoon in the desert and overnight in our hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Goarges – Dades Gorges :

Following breakfast, we will head to Todra gorges Gorge via the dramatic stony desert,the palmeries of Rissani known for its largest market in the south and Erfoud (capital of the fossils). Next destination is to Tinghir and the lush valley of Todra where you will have a little hike along the narrow and high cliffs of Todra . You will also explore the amazing scenery of Dades valley , known by the valley of one thousand Kasbahs with its unusual rock formations. Overnight in the Dades Gorges in a hotel.

Day 5: Dades gorges – Rose valley – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech:

Following breakfast we depart through the Rose valley and continue the journey to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou. Situated on a hill along the Ouarzazate River, This beautiful example of southern Moroccan architecture has been used as a backdrop for over 20 famous movies including Lawrence of Arabia, Game of thrones, The Mummy, and Gladiator. Afterwards we will leave the authentic southern Morocco and drive to Marrakech via the highest pass in Africa Tizi N’ Tichka (Altitude 2260 m) while enjoying the super views of the giant High Atlas Mountains with the panoramic Berber villages. Drop off in your accommodation in Marrakech at 05:00 pm aprx.
